Will Canada Revenue Agency report the debt I owe them to credit bueraus?
As a result of an audit I owe CRA 28000 dollars and we have arranged payment plan, do they usually report this to Equifax and Transunion bueraus?
I don’t believe so.
I’ve owed CRA money a few times over the last 10 years and entered into a payment plan and have never had it appear on my credit report.
They may have changed the rules recently but I thought there were confidentiality rules that prevented this sort of thing (plus they do have a bit of a monopoly on things, they’re eventually going to get your money).
Easiest way to be sure is to ask them.
