What online credit report retrieval site is trustworthy?
I need to get copies of both my and my husbands credit reports (from all 3 agencies) because we are applying for credit counseling. A few months ago, we got them from annualcreditreport.com when we were going to meet with a mortgage lender, and we left our reports with him. So that option isn’t a good one. What sites are good for purchasing or viewing all three of my credit reports, without putting my information at too much risk (I know there is always some involved when you do anything online). I know of identity guard and true credit, but I don’t know how reputable they are.

annualcreditreport.com is the only free site that you can pull your credit from. You don’t need all 3 agencies involved to tell you what your score is or what’s on your credit.
You’re entitled to ONE free report per year or you’ll have to pay for the report. I get mine once a year, every year, to keep an eye on our credit situation. I never call in the same month each year, although I may call in April one year & August the next, then April the next time.
Your bank won’t pull your credit unless you apply for a loan or credit card with them.
Why don’t you call the mortgage lender & ask for your credit reports back? They can make copies to send you.
