why credit reports for employment
Do I have to claim the money I receive in my GST credit in my EI?

This question is directed to Canadians. I have recently applied for EI (Employment Insurance) and I’m pretty sure I’ll be recieving it. My first cheque should be coming soon, but we’ll also be receiving our GST credit this month as well. On my bi-weekly reports where it asks if I’ve received any other moneys, do I have to report the money I received for GST? And if yes why?

GST is not income, its a “refund” of taxes paid. EI only is concerned with income, you didn’t go into work for a couple days to make that money.
