Your Credit Report Rights

your credit report rights
how long does it take for a debit to show in your credit report?

i did a cash advance last week of ($5000) and am trying to buy a car. i will be able to pay it back within a few weeks, so its not like im really strapped for cash right now. something came where i needed cash quickly and temporarily.

my question is, will the credit reports (experian, equifax etc) already have this information on my history? or does it usually take more than a week?

It does not take 30 days exactly, but that is close. Depending on the credit card company, they may report every 25 days or every 40 days. They are supposed to report every month, but not all of them do. And I don’t know that a Cash Advance will show on your report, I think it will just show a higher balance on your Credit Card. The sooner you can get that money back on your card, the better. If you get it back really fast, it might not show at all.
